Discover and cycle several trails

Perhaps you want to cycle a long way and the Vänerleden's 64 kilometres isn´t enough for you? Or maybe you want to discover more cycle routes and beautiful places to visit?

Vänerleden has links to several other trails in Värmland, Dalsland, Västra Götaland and Norwegian cycle routes.

Vänerleden is in itself a fantastic cycle route with varied experiences and environments. But the trail also connects with several other national and regional cycle routes, making it possible to cycle far and experience more of a larger cycling area in Sweden.

For example, you can cycle a loop by combining Vänerleden from Vänersborg north to Unionsleden and the Lelången trail to Uddevalla. From Uddevalla you can easily take the Västtrafik train with the bike back to Vänersborg.

Other possibilities are to combine the Vänerleden with the Göta Canal trail, or the Klarälvsbanan cycle route. You can also read more about Sweden's national and regional quality-assured cycle routes at Visit Sweden.
