Kristinehamn Herrgårdscamping has canoe rental.
Herrgårdscampingen rents out canoes by the hour or by the day.
More information is available on their website.
Suggested routes to paddle:
Paddle through Vålösundet.
Take the canoe to the Kristinehamn Art Museum, continue toward the town center via the Kristinehamn guest harbor, and arrive in the city right outside Mastmagasinet.
Paddle out into Ringbergssundet and Hjälmarssundet, on the left side of Vålön, and continue toward Kalvön and Sibberön. Then circle Sibberön and return along the opposite side of the islands. There are several rest spots along Kalvön’s shores. The southern end of Sibberön is a sensitive bird habitat, so please avoid going ashore there.
A shorter option is to paddle directly to the beach (Sandvikarna) on Vålön, then walk the trail that connects the islands via footbridges.
Paddle along Vålösundet to the Picasso sculpture.
A coffee break is a must—there are cafés nearby, or bring your own fika from Herrgårdscampingen.
