Get on board the Vänern sloop

Oskar II is a sailing ship. A replica of a sloop that was used during the 1800s. She is built at Sjötorp's shipyard by a group of enthusiasts and was launched 2004. The boat is 14-meter long and has 12 berths for overnight stays. The sail area is 130 sq m. All modern gear is available onboard.

Trips with Sloop Oskar II the summer of 2024

Lockage with Sloop Oskar II

During the summer you can come along on Oskar II's short trips out on Värnen and through three locks up to the upper berth in Sjötorp. The trip takes approximately 2 hours.

Canal trip with Sloop Oskar II

Come along on a canal trip between Sjötorp and Norrqvarn (single trip) and take the bike back. Gathering at the Sjöslussen (the canal office) in Sjötorp. The trip takes approximately four hours.

Boat trip on Värnen with Sloop Oskar II

If you wonder how the life on a Vänerslup could have looked like last turn of the century you are welcome to come along on a four hour long sailing trip on Värnen. Gathering at the lake lock in Sjötorp.
