Visit an animal farm and discover a lush landscape and birdlife. The farm has alpacas, horses, sheep, hens, goats, rabbits and cats.
In the area close to the bay of Varnumsviken, there is a small animal farm called Österviks stadsbondgård. At the farm you can meet horses, sheep, hens, goats, rabbits, piggs and cats. See the animals and enjoy the beautiful scenery! Children can try jumping off the tower into the hay (May-September). The nature around the farm consists of deciduous and coniferous trees, meadows and grazing land as well as cultivated land close to water. There is a barbecue area and the café is open on weekdays.
Free entrance and open year round! If you want a guided tour (about 40 min) for ex schools or day care centers, it costs 500 SEK for up to 20 pers. 1000 SEK over 20 people.
When you're here you can also visit nearby Österviks kapell, an intriguing chapel built 1872. In spring the park around the chapel is full in full bloom with wood anemones and blue anemones.
Close by there's also a bird watching tower if you want to study the birds in the bay.
