In Varnumsviken's scenic area is Östervik's urban farm. Here you can jump in the hay and pet the animals. Open alla year around and there is no entry-fee.
Here there are alpacas, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, goats, rabbits and cats. You can also jump in the jumping tower and land softly in straw (between May and September). Tha café is open on weekdays and Saturdays when it's an event. You are of course also welcome to bring your own picnic. There are tables and benches. Craving for barbecue? Then use the barbecue area, it is open all year round.
It is free to be in the area - all year round! Feel free to come visit and look at the animals, have a barbecue, jump in the straw, etc. Possible guided tour according to time, in agreement with staff.
When you're here, you can also take the opportunity to visit Östervik's chapel, which is very close by. The chapel has an exciting history that fascinates everyone, both young and old. If you come in the spring, you will be joined by the beautiful anemones, firstthe blue and then the white ones.
Nearby, there is also a birdwatching site where you can spot the birds on Vänern's shore.
