Discover the world of fairy tales in beautiful nature
North of Gullspång in Nunnestad's forest you will find a cozy loop about kilometers long. Walking this trail is a pleasant nature experience for everyone in the family while teasing the senses to a voyage of discovery.
"After the snake dragons, it wasn't a long step to start drawing on stones and trees," says the creator of the fairytale trail, Charlotta Karlsson. "Stumps have been given doors and windows. Tree trunks have become eyes, branches have become arms.
If you pay attention, you can see both gnomes and trolls, but also creatures known from various storybooks. It can be an aha moment, like Plupp. And chances are you'll discover something new every time you walk the trail.
If you feel like it, you can also write a line in the guest book at the end of the trail.
Directions to the trail
From road 26, turn north of Gullspång towards Nunnestad, follow this road for about 1 km until you see a blue sign 'Nunnestad'. Continue along the same road and you will soon see a playground on your right. At the intersection there is a sign 'Sagoskogen' pointing to the left. Here you turn off to follow this narrow road about 150 m until you again get a sign pointing to the right into the forest. Here is also the possibility to park a car.
