The history of this remarkable chapel 3 km outside Kristinehamn always fascinates visitors.
Österviks Chapel was completed in 1872 and was then a part of Gustafvik's Manor. It was used as a school and church for the families working at the manor. The chapel is surrounded by a beautiful park which also includes an old dairy. Today the dairy building is a showroom for the sculptures created by Erik Rafael Rådberg. The famous sculptor bought the chapel from 1922-1963 and used it as a studio and residence. The chapel with surrounding park is a museum and in 1965 it was declared as a heritage building. Today, the chapel is used for baptisms, weddings and concerts. You can rent the premises.
