Easily accessible and beautiful nature by the river Nossan.

A few years ago it was just a patch of grass and bushes. Since then, the Future Association, with support from the municipality, has created a pleasant park. Grästorp residents and others can come here to have a coffee and enjoy nature and a rich animal and bird life, including the aspen that enters here and spawns in the Nossan during the spring.

Forshall is a place with a varied history. On the stone by the bridge you can read about how the bridge was built at the end of the 19th century and that there was also a mill on the site. It was then the site of the Farmol factory, which produced paint and sanitary towels. During the 1950s, the buildings served as a mobilization warehouse for the army, then Forshalls Bygglager bought them up and around the same time one of the bridge arches collapsed due to heavy icing.

The area is still under development. There is currently a barbecue area, a shelter with seating, a sturdy walkway leading down to the water and there is another coffee table with room for many! Some of the area's most common birds are immortalized on the facade facing the river in large paintings by the Grästorp girl Lisa Jessen. Four out of five birds are finished and hopefully the collection will be complete next year. And don't miss the cute beaver that is sighted from the riverbank!
