Beaver safari with canoe in the beautiful Ecopark Halle- & Hunneberg

Come along on an exciting adventure in Western Sweden's only Ecopark, Halle-Hunneberg!
Together with a knowledgeable nature guide from the Royal Hunt Museum, Älgens Berg, you get to know more about the beaver and its life on Hunneberg.

Nature guide

During the safari, our knowledgeable and committed guide tells about the beaver, about this amazing architect and the beaver's construction works. Did you know, for example, that beavers can sense smells in the water? Or that they can build huts that are two meters high?

Safari in a canoe

During the summer evening, we go canoeing and venture out on magical lakes where interesting animals gather. As we begin to approach the beaver's grounds, we silently glide closer. We quietly look out over the beach where it is diligently building on its hut.

Best time to see beavers

The best time to get the chance to see beavers is during the summer season, May to September.

The Royal Hunt Museum offers regular guided tours during the summer. In 2023 there are tours every Monday and Thursday between June 26th to August 24th at 18:00 ( 6 p.m.).

The safari is a canoe ride that requires sturdy shoes/boots and weather-resistant clothing. The safari takes 3-4 hours and starts at 6 pm from the Royal Hunt Museum - Älgens Berg.

The tour requires that you can sit still and quiet for longer periods and is therefore not recommended for children under 7 years.

NOTE! Swimming skills are a requirement for all participants.

Price: 595 SEK per adult and 395 SEK per child up to 12 years

Included in the price: guide, coffee, tea, lemonade and light refreshments.
